Cirque du Soleil takes to the Seas.

I’m really excited to see that MSC Cruises have teamed up with Cirque du Soleil for their new generation Meraviglia ships, the first of which launches in June 2017.

I absolutely adore Cirque du Soleil having seen them twice in the past and they provide an amazing spectacle, they use a  mixture  of acrobatics, gymnastics and street dance  to provide a show which is innovative, daring and awe-inspiring.
Every show tells a story and makes you gasp for breath as you watch them perform feats of incredible talent.

The spectacular productions will take place inside purpose-built Aft Lounges, which will seat 450 passengers and be home to a 200-seat restaurant area where guests can enjoy dinner and drinks before the performance. They will perform 2 shows per night and for 6 nights in every 7 night cruise so all  guests will be able to see the performance.

The first ship that Cirque du Soleil will perfom on will be the new build MSC Meraviglia. With a capacity of 4,500 passengers she is being billed as the second largest ship in the world after Royal Caribbean’s sister ships Oasis and Allure of the Seas. Details of her facilities and features are still being released but we do know that she will be based in the Mediterranean and you will be able to embark in Genoa, Marseille or Barcelona.  I can’t wait to see what else she will feature.
