Always a very highly emotive subject SINGLES and the fact that they get a raw deal when it comes to cruising. Cunard are at long last doing something about the fact that a lot of people would love to cruise, who are travelling alone through no fault of their own, and who find the cost’s way beyond their means – but not for much longer..
Cunard is adding 45 new Britannia Club cabins to Queen Mary 2 during a 25 day refit at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg and will start on May 27th 2016.
The total includes the first single cabins to be offered on Queen Mary 2. All will have an ocean view and nine will on deck 2 and the rest will be on deck 3L. The latter will have two large circular windows.
Nine single cabins were added to both Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria during refits in 2014 and 2015 respectively. The company said it is in response to the growing number of people cruising alone Hurray ! I hear you shouting at long last SOMEONE IS LISTENING.
