Welcome To A New Princess

This weekend I went down to Southampton to have a look at the latest ship to join the Princess fleet The Royal Princess. She towered above the other 4 ships which were also in port on that day. As soon as I got on board I was very very impressed with a stunning atrium glistening all brand spanking new, The reception was full to the brim with staff offering help and advise.

1st stop unload your bags in the cabin my cabin was L201 a balcony up in the gods on deck 16 which is Lido Deck, it was very very hard to find hidden away behind hardwood doors at the back of the Horizon Court Buffet. The cabin was nice not as big as expected but it had everything in it you needed and a balcony with 2 chairs and a small table in, as its on Lido you do get the overhang so rather shaded, the bathroom was I would say “small”.

Then it was off to investigate The SeaWalk  most people tended to walk around it, jump over it anything to avoid standing on it. As you looked down you looked into the balconies of the cabins below, not a good idea if your in one of those cabins privacy gone! and not a good idea if your not good with heights.

The sanctuary and Retreat Pool are stunning very relaxing and somewhere lovely to go to at the end of a day and unwind, its adults only and has private cabanas with refrigerators and flat- screen TVs. There are two exclusive Spa Cabanas that can be reserved for the ultimate relaxation. Next to the Sanctuary you’ll find the Retreat Pool is also for adults only these can also be reserved.

With so many dining options available you’ll never be hungry we ate in the evening in the Concerto Restaurant and had a fabulous meal with wine, for breakfast it was a visit to the Horizon Court for the buffet again so much on offer with waiter service for drinks.

In the evening we dined in the Concerto Restaurant and enjoyed a sumptuous meal including Seafood, Beef and plenty of wine to enjoy.

A very impressive Internet lounge and well equipped  in a nice & quiet area away from all the hustle & bustle, I took these photos when all were dancing and singing I’m sure during the day time the Internet cafe will be used a lot.
