Antoinette The Dogs Wotsits

Ive been writing about the Uniworld 6* River Cruise Ship S.S.Antoinette over the past couple of weeks because I loved this ship so much, just to let you know another extra you receive with your European sailings is the all -inclusive drinks on board, I know on  most River Cruise ships you receive free Wine, Beer, Soft Drinks with your meals BUT with all of her  European itineraries  you will get all of your drinks free all day and night- leaving a very small or non existant bar bill – now your ears are pricking up !

This is the  first time I have  been on a River Cruise ship and thought WOW

MY CABIN. Outside and without a Balcony, the size was decent for an outside cabin 163sq feet, very gracious looking with   a huge degree of chinz and stunning drapes over the bed. I had a window which opened half way at the touch of a switch so could let in some fresh air, the bed – TOP MARKS it was to die for someone commented a couple of weeks ago saying “It looked more like a coffin”  very comfy the best bed I think I have ever had the pleasure to sleep in & very high to climb up to. The cabin was complete with all the usual amenities TV, Air Condtioning, Hair Dryer etc. The bathroom covered from head to toe in marble it looked gorgeous, the power shower very fierce and the only thing I didn’t appreciate the full length mirrors – not a pretty sight, when your standing in your birthday suit.

PUBLIC AREAS – All River Ships have a dining room and lounge and some even have massage rooms, but Annie goes even further with her funky leopard-look top deck nightclub, indoor spa pool, cinema.

WHERE DOES SHE GO? – France, Germany & Holland

HOW MANY PASSENGERS? – 164

WHO’S ON BOARD? – Americans, Britts, Canadians and people from other English-speaking nations, those who have never travelled independently in Europe, and believe it or not people on shopping sprees.

MOST POPULAR FEATURE? – The self -service laundry room with Miele machines this is a first on River Cruising – the norm with P&O etc but not with a River Cruise Company, unbelievable really on on 6* ship and the Laundry is the most popular thing ( takes all sorts I suppose)

I can not even think of anything remotely negative to say about this ship, she was 100% in every single way- I know she is expensive but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. If you want quality you have found it on ANTOINETTE.
