Eclipse Here I come!

Only a few more sleeps before I head to Southampton for our Anniversary treat!  A cheeky 2 nighter on the wonderful Celebrity Eclipse! I am so giddy with excitement!  Having never experienced a Celebrity Cruise before, I am eagerly anticipating the delights awaiting me on board!

We could certainly do with the break.  The last few weeks have been a tad stressful. As I’ve just moved from one side of the country to the other, and am now living beside the sea!  Weston Super Mare to be exact, and my house is literally a stones throw from the beach!  As you know packing up your house and moving to another has got to be one of the most stressful events we put ourselves through, but I knew in the back of my mind that the Eclipse was just around the corner, and now I’m off to relax and enjoy a couple of nights sailing over to France in a few days time!

I would like to say a thank you to all my lovely clients who have already cruised on the Celebrity and have told me how great she is, and given me some great tips.   In fact I might even meet a few of you at the bar!  I know a few of my work colleagues are also joining me, and am looking forward to meeting up with them for a well earned rest.

Of course, as its my 38th wedding anniversary, I shall be taking full advantage of the Spa treatments on board!

The Eclipse is the 3rd of the Solstice Class ships and has recently had a multi million pound refit including the Cellar Masters wine bar which is now the Gastrobar and serves 40+ craft beers. I’ll be able to order drink and food on my iPad or can download an App . Although I prefer a face to face more human approach, there’s nothing like a chat with the bar staff.  

I’m keen to check out the Slush, a frozen drink bar,  situated in the pool area. But it depends on the weather of course.

The casino, currently American-style, will become more British with twelve British-themed slot machines.  Which is great for those who like a flutter, but not for me I’m afraid.  

Celebrity Eclipse will be offering 7 & 15 night sailings from Southampton in 2015, so make sure you try her out!
