The End Of Summer Is Upon Us!

How fast has this year gone?

I say that every year, and have been for as long as I can remember!

Time seems to fly by fast as I age, it’s scary but I guess it’s the same for everyone!

Anyway I just wanted to let all my customers and readers know that I’m back from my annual leave and ready to start giving you my best deals again for the end of summer, autumn and moving into winter!

Did I go away this summer, nope afraid not, as mentioned in my last blog, this break from work was basically a working holiday, which we re-painted most of the house, and also had a new kitchen installed. Yes it’s amazing. House has had a real facelift over the last couple of weeks! Still a lot to do but hey it’s a great start.

So what have you been up to over the last couple of weeks?

I’ve already spoken to a few of my clients who have come back from summer cruises, some good, some bad! But the bad is mainly down to the weather in ruddy Norway – a haven for cruisers at this time of year. Bizarre that it’s been so grim up there but I guess that’s the nature of the beast.

So after another washout of a British summer weather wise, where is going to be best to hit over the next couple of months?

Well my old favourite Dubai is of course a belting place to visit from about October onwards, and of course the Caribbean season gets into full swing around the same time. So these are my two picks for real sunshine and exotic luxury.

But what about closer to home? Got to be East Med or Canaries!

Turkey has it’s problems at the moment, but places like Croatia, Greece and Italy are still generally warm right the way up to November. Plus with the seasons changing rapidly in recent years, you could be in for some real heat late on in these places.

Various cruise lines are still there and still have late space so get in touch today and let me see what I can do for you and your sun tan!

In other cruise news, Carnival Vista seems to be doing well in the Med this year, and Britannia seems to be now finally getting a few nice comments after a shakey start. Although P&O are going to have to pull their socks up if they wish to really compete in Southampton in the next 12-18 months. Cunard, RCCL and Celebrity are all bettering them on feedback at the moment, as are Fred Olsen. Plus with the strong emergence of CMV (Cruise & Maritime Voyages), there is a hot competition in the UK amongst the cruise lines.

Away from cruise, I just wanted to say a massive congrats to all our Olympians that competed in Rio – needless to say you are heroes and an absolute inspiration for the country! Well done!

And in other sports news, being a big Manchester United fan, I just wanted to give Jose Mourinho a big pat on the back for starting the season so well! You are the special one indeed sir!

I look forward to your cruise enquiry calls in the coming weeks!

Thanks for reading and as always until next time………….
