Olbia Here We Come!

Finally the time has almost come to switch my Out Of Office message on!

Yes tomorrow we fly out to Olbia in Sardinia for our summer holiday with the family. It’s been a long time in the making, and on the back of 10 or 11 very busy weeks I am more than ready for a weeks relaxation. Or as close to relaxation as you can get when you have a 1 year old baby and are travelling with the in-laws!

I’ve decided my best plan of action is to take the reigns from the beginning, and not allow myself to be drawn in by anything petty on the family politics side. I will be the boss.

To be fair though I get on brilliantly with them all. The wife often jokes that they prefer me to her! I’m not surprised, I’m far nicer.

But holidaying of this nature for me is literally just having a few minutes each day to myself to just exhale. Sometimes at home, you get so caught up with work, life, kids, money, family, friends etc that you can lose yourself a little, and you need a bit of a breather to re-charge.

Simple things like a nice coffee watching the waves, a glass of wine on the balcony, an underwater swim in the clear sea, or a walk down the beach with the wife. All of the above are things that I intend to partake in daily, in an effort to rejuvenate and be ready to do it all again come September, as we then wave goodbye to the summer and start thinking about Christmas. Oh man….Christmas…….I’ll get to that later in the year…. stay tuned for hilarious pain of my own making.

Anyway I have slightly digressed, I’m sure you all have have your own ways of relaxing whilst away so here’s to holidays, and here’s to enjoying Sardinia. The mysterious place awaits!

To all my customers, give the office a call for anything urgent, but if not I’m back on around the 27th August ish, so feel free to hang on for me if it’s not urgent.

Thanks for reading and as always, until next time…
