Today’s The Day

15th November 2018 , That Royal Caribbeans amazing liner Symphony Of The Seas will be officially named. The naming ceremony will take place at the port of Miami by Royal Caribbeans first ever god family. Normally its a solo, a Godmother in most cases but this is something a little different and the actors and avid cruise fans of Royal Caribbean who have been named as the God family are Carlos and Alexa PenaVega, along with their toddler son Ocean. The couple are very popular in the states and have been movie and film stars since a young age and this year released a film together called ‘love At Sea’ very apt! The family have enjoyed many cruises onboard various ships with Royal Caribbean and between them have over 9 million social media followers so a great platform for advertising also I would say!

Symphony of the seas is the 25th ship in the fleet and is part of the amazing Oasis Class, my absolute favorite class of ships where you can find the boardwalk and central park districts onboard! They are of course on the larger side with a maximum occupancy of 6680 guests, butt his really isnt anything to be put of by if you like the smaller ships as there is just so much space onboard I was hugely surprised when i sailed on her sister ship the Allure at how open it felt, you would have never known you were sailing with so many other guests, I never qued in the buffets or had to fight over a sun lounger it was great!

Symphony of the Seas took her maiden voyage in April this year so she has plenty of sea days under her belt already and its a great landmark for her to eventually have the naming ceremony she deserves today!
