‘Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seashore’

Or Seaside, or Seaview in MSC cruises case. The first steel has been cut in Fincantieri shipyard in Italy  for MSC’s newest superliner and alongside this the name has been revealed as Seashore, which goes hand in hand with all of there latest ships to enter the fleet too, You can see a theme in the names!

Seashore will enter service in spring 2021 and is the first ship to enter the EVO class featuring the latest advanced environmental technology , including state of the art waste management and recycling and exhaust gas cleaning and will be a much more environmentally friendly cruise ship.

You can expect the Seashore to be pretty large, MSC are taking it up a notch from the Seaside class and going bigger she will carry approximately 5,500 passengers onboard and an identical sister ship is set to follow in autumn 2022. Both ships are designed for the warmer climates with no set itinerary’s or destinations revealed yet but im guessing the Caribbean will be on the list.

Time wise , thinking the first steel has only been cut this week and the ship will launch in Spring 2021 we are looking at around 2 and a half years to complete the ship build and a massive 4000 Fincantieri employees will be involved in bringing this amazing ship to life! It is estimated around 10 million man hours involved!

At a huge 169,400 tonnage and 339m in length you can expect a maximum speed of 21 knots from the Seashore, If she is anything like the MSC Seaview that launched in June this year she is set to be a fantastic addition to the ever growing MSC cruise ship fleet.
