Which cruise cabin is right for you?

If you have never cruised before choosing the right cabin for you can be quite a daunting task. Dont worry I am here to give you a little insight into the different cabins and why they may or may not be suitable for you.

Inside Cabins: These are normally the best value cabins on the ship, for the simple fact they have no windows. You may not like the sound of choosing a cabin with no natural light coming in but at the end of the day how much time will you spend in your cabin. With so much to do on these ships and most of them offering excursions every day. If you are on a bit of a budget but still want to experience the magic of a cruise an inside could be right for you.

Outside Cabin: These cabins are very similar if not identical to and inside cabin. The main difference being that you will have a port hole or a window so you can look out into the ocean and imagine what will be in the horizon. I would recommend an outside over an inside if you think you may suffer from a bit of sea sickness, Looking out of a window will give you a good stabilising effect.

Balcony cabins: This would be my choice. Balcony cabins do not even cost much more than an inside. In some instances the cruise lines will offer a free upgrade to a balcony. This is what you want to look out for. Nothing quite beats the feeling of sitting on your balcony with a cocktail in hand looking up at the stars as you await to arrive at your next destination.

Suites: Does it get any better than a balcony you may ask? The answer is yes. A suite is the Creme de la Creme. Normally this suites will come with balcony. They are so spacious and come with extra perks on some ships too like butler service and exclusive access to certain restaurants and spas that the other guests are not allowed to go to. You will be treated like royalty in a suite.

Other points to know: With all the cabins the best prices start when you are either right at the front or right at the back of the ship. If you wanted a midship cabin then you will normally pay a small supplement at the ship wont rock as much if you in the middle.
