Is 3 nights enough time in New York

There aren’t many places in the world that you would be happy to travel 7 hours to get there, just to come back 3 days later. New York is one of them places though.

I went to New York for 3 nights. It was a pretty hectic 3 nights however we managed to get most of it done. I went on a work trip in my old company so had to stop off and view many different hotels also. New York is a big place and very spread out. I think if you went for any longer then you may come back exhausted.

I’m not really keen on city breaks however New York has got something quite special about it. Today I want to talk you through why I think everybody should try New York at least once. Now I have been and ticked it off my list I wouldn’t be in a rush to go back. Saying that I know people that go year after year.

The Hotels in New York are fairly basic. They are quite small for example if you compared then to last Vegas. If going it is all about choosing the right location. I stayed at the Westin. This is half way between. Central Park and Times Square. Times square is great however I don’t think you would want to stay right in the hear of it. Like I said earlier I view over 20 hotels and none of them have the x factor. My advice would be to choose the right location even if its only a 3 star. You will spend most of your day out and about.

The food. What can I say. I like my food and this place did not disappoint. The portion sizes are huge and very tasty. Beware they will put a minimum of 18% service charge on everything you eat. One place I would highly recommend going is Elen Stardust’s diner. In Here the waiter and waitresses will put on a show for you giving you a little taster of the show you could see on Times Square. Many of the staff going on to perform there themselves.

Activities. There is so much to do in this city. A few of the things we did were…..

Ground Zero. This is were the twin towers used to be. Now there are two big wells and museums remembering all the people that lost their lives during 9/11. Very emotional

Top of the Rock. This is going to the top of the Rockefeller centre to get full panoramic views over the whole of New York.

Horse Riding around Central Park. I think this speak for itself. Where in the world would you find such a stunning park in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world.

Macys. A trip to New York wouldn’t be complete without one of the most famous department stores in the world.

So there you have it a little snip it of what you can do whilst out there and why you should go. If you have any questions please let me know.
