When is the best time to book?

When is the best time to book? This is one of the most frequent questions I get asked by customers. You want my honest answer? I don’t know!! That might sound crazy but we don’t have a crystal ball telling us when cruise lines will bring out new offers, give away free drinks or on board spending money. It would be nice I admit!!

What I can tell you though is the different benefits you get as a customer by booking at maybe different times of the year. Maybe answer a few questions as to when and why you should be booking!

I will start with the last minute offers so yes you might find a bargain but, you cant chose your cabin, you cant chose your dining, you get no freebie such as on board credit or free parking then you also find out that you are going to be charged for shuttle buses in each port. Maybe its not so much of a bargain as you first thought when you consider you like a mid ship cabin with first dining and its going to cost you £100 for car parking!!

Again last minute offers for those that can go at the drop of a hat, no good for me when I need to get holidays authorised from work and I’m taking a toddler. I remember last year families were looking for last minute offers  for the school holidays yes, there were cruises left no, they were not cheap but then the limits for children on board had already been hit so they could go as a couple but couldn’t take the kids!!

Now the early bookers!! That me! I have just booked to go on Aurora in November with my family the reasons are mostly detailed above our holidays were already authorised for those dates, we got a bargain price, free on board credit, a great reduced child price, I chose the location of my cabin & my dining time also more importantly for me it gives me something to look forward too these cold winter months!!
