Airport Evacuation

2pm this afternoon Edinburgh airport was evacuated due to a suspicious package. There is nothing more stressful than a delay at the airport to start your holiday. I would be happy that the security services are doing a great job however for every hour delayed I would know it was eating into my holiday time!!

This is where cruising is perfect! No flight delays, no stress, no worrying about that bottle of water in your bag!!

So many people I speak to find airports stressful! I have to say check in at Southampton and even when I did a cruise only with NCL from Barcelona was really quite pleasant. Yes in Barcelona we had to queue a little but we were always on the move and it maybe took 40 minutes and we were on the NCL Jade eating lunch before we knew it.

Imagine you are on your way to the airport and there is a car accident causing long delays, will the flight wait? Probably not. What if you were on your way to Southampton and the traffic was murder would the ship wait? Most likely yes!! When I was recently on the QM2 traffic into Southampton was a nightmare but… Cunard made the decision to delay the departure by 2 hours so everyone made it on board.

So what are you waiting for don’t bother with the airport take a cruise from the UK. Its not just Southampton you can depart from we have Dover, Portsmouth, Tilbury, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool & Newcastle to name a few.
