Recently I received a very exciting email from Princess cruises inviting me to join them for the launch celebrations for the brand new Majestic Princess.

I haven’t been sent much information, so all I know so far is I shall be joining the ship in Triest on the 31st March and will be on board for 4 nights before disembarking the ship in Rome.

When the Royal Princess was launched in 2012 I attended the celebrations in Southampton. This was only for one night but Princess really pulled out all the stops and it was a great evening, so i’m intrigued to see what they have planned for us over four nights.

The Majestic is a sister ship to the Royal and Regal Princess holding 3200 passengers.

She has been designed specifically for the Chinese market but will begin her maiden season in Europe with sailing between April and May. She then sets off on the Epic Silk Road Rod route, a 49 night voyage from Rome to her home port of Shanghai.
