The Queens Are Coming to Liverpool !

Exciting news has been released to day by Cunard! To celebrate their 175th anniversary the three ships – Mary, Victoria and Elizabeth – will visit Southampton, Liverpool and Cork.

On 3rd May 2015 all three ships will be in Southampton, all finishing their World Cruises there on the same day. This will be a very special occasion as Queen Victoria will then sail from Southampton to Cork to commemorate the sinking of the Lusitania by a torpedo on 7th May 1915, during the First World War. She sank in 18 minutes killing 1200 people off the Old Head of Kinsale in Ireland.

There will also ceremonies at the town’s memorial to mark this significant date in Cunard’s history. At the same time tribute will be paid to the 22 ships, and Cunard men, that were lost in the War. Again demand for this sailing will be massive.

Then on 25th May 2015 all three will be in the birthplace of Cunard – Liverpool. This will be a spectacular event, similar to the P&O 75th Anniversary, and demand for this will be HUGE! Queen Mary will arrive the night before and stay in port overnight. Liverpool was the home of Cunard from 1839 to 1967 and the people of the city hold the company very close to their hearts.

There will be 3 cruises that will take in Liverpool and the Celebrations.

Queen Mary will be doing a 10 night British Isles cruise from Southampton on 17th May

Queen Elizabeth will embark on a 16 night Baltic cruise on 11th May from Southampton

Queen Victoria will do a 6 night cruise from Southampton on 22nd May

All will meet on 25th May in Liverpool.

The culmination of the event will be Queen Mary sailing from Southampton to  Liverpool on 2nd July, this is a 2 night short break cruise. Arriving in Liverpool she will then  sail to recreate the first Transatlantic Crossing by Cunard Britannia on 4th July. The Spirit of Sir Samuel voyage will be a 12 night crossing calling at Halifax, Boston and then on to New York.

You can join this voyage in either Liverpool or Southampton or just do the 2 night short cruise.

These voyages will go on sale on 11th and 12th March for Diamond and Platinum Wold Club Members and to all passengers on Thursday 13th March

I cannot stress often enough that demand will be huge, the transatlantic voyage on Queen Mary will sell out very quickly so, in order to secure your place please pre – register with me a soon as possible.
