About Me
I have been working in travel since 1991 when I realised there was more to life than the Banking Industry.
I started as an Overseas Representative with Thomson Holidays moving to the beautiful Island of Rhodes, where I spent 3 very happy summer season. This was interspersed with winters in Spain – Costa Blanca ( yes that was in Benidorm which I loved, and it is like the TV show which I also love) and Costa Blanca. Thomson, in their wisdom, then decided I would make a perfect ” walking guide” in Madeira! Now Madeira is a beautiful Island but a walking guide I am definitely not, luckily for me my Resort Manager agreed with me and whisked me off to Egypt where I stayed until returning to the UK in 1998.
I then joined Page and Moy as a Sales Consultant until moving to their cruise division – 1st4cruising – until March this year when the company ceased trading in its original form, and all our staff were made redundant.
I have been lucky enough to be taken on by Cruise.co.uk and am really looking forward to this new and exciting challenge.
I now live in a small village in Northamptonshire, surrounded by green fields which, at the moment are full of lovely little lambs. I also live with 2 rescue border collie dogs who also love the lambs as you may well imagine! They also enjoy walking but do not need a guide!
I look forward to talking to you all in the near future and please feel free to comment or contact me if there is anything that I may be able to help you with, or any suggestions you may have.

Which is my favourite? Very difficult question as they are all lovely in their own ways. I loved Queen Mary, so grand and majestic, my first cruise was on Braemar which I also adored – probably the most friendly, happy ship I’ve been on. Regent Seven Seas Voyager is also a wonderful ship as is Diamond Princess, as the destination on her was Alaska this was a truly wonderful experience.
My other passion is Egypt and the Nile. I sailed there many times during my years working for Thomson Holidays mainly on the Presidential Nile Cruise fleet but also RAII and the Crown Prince. I can`t wait now to do another River Cruise. although anything would be hard pressed to be more magical than the Nile,
