I never knew that Santa was a Policeman – until Thursday that is!

Thursday was my day off and I went to get my hair done for Christmas, followed by some shopping of course. My friend and I were walking through our local shopping centre when we were stopped by a very nice policeman bearing gifts! He said ” would you like some bells ?” ” Bells – what for ?” we said somewhat amused. So he produced the bells from a Santa`s sack and gave each of us a set.

Here they are, these are anti-theft bells, the idea being that you clip them on to your handbag or purse when you are out shopping, or in busy places, and if someone tries to steal your bag they will ring and you are made aware! The policeman then proceeded to attach them to our bags and sent us on our way – what a great idea!

Not quite as pretty as Christmas Bells but really noisy.

I think its a great idea – does anyone agree with me ?
