It`s Time for 2014 !

Well it might be snowing again today but this is supposed to be spring and, traditionally, the time of year when cruise lines release their programmes to tempt passengers to book for the next year – 2014.

The first cruise line to release its 2014 itineraries  will be Princess cruises later this week.

In 2014 Regal Princess will sail her inaugural season in the Mediterranean with a series of 11 nights cruises between Venice and Barcelona. Emerald Princess will be based in Southampton for the first time, with sailings to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Canary Islands.  Royal Princess will set sail to Scandinavia and Russia and Ocean Princess will sail in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. In the Med she will offer a new 10 nights Black Sea and Holy Land voyage, which can be combined into 14 to 21 day combinations to allow a full exploration of the region.

One of the most interesting set of itinerraies will be on Ruby Princess, sister ship to Emerald  Princess, who is also to be based in Southampton from where she will embark on a series of British Isles cruises, as well as a North Cape and Summer Solstice cruise in June.

Because we live in the United Kingdom a cruise around our islands may not seem to be the most appealing on offer, but how many of the places visited by a cruise ship would we visit independently?

Ruby Princess first British Isles cruise will be on 11th May visiting the following places:-

St Peter Port in Guernsey

Cork

Dublin

Belfast

Greenock for Glasgow

Kirkwall in the Orkney Islands

Invergodon for Inverness and Loch Ness ( and the monster ! )

South Queensferry for Edinburgh

Le Havre for Paris – not in the UK of course !!

I have visited maybe 2 or 3 of these places but thats about it, and I suspect there are many other people in the same boat so to speak! The British Isles in the summer is a beautiful place to visit and what better place to see all these famous cities than from the Comfort of your cruise liner. All the new itineraries go on sail from 14th March so give us a call so we can get you the pick of the itineraries and cabins.
