The Big reveal for the Qm2

Well just as the latest Cunard cruises have launched for 2017 and 2018 we have managed to get a sneaky peak at the latest refurbishment which is planned on the Queen Mary 2 which will be revealed in June.

Lets have a look at what is planned for the refurb starting off with the cabins.There will be 30 new Britannia Club balconies being built and all existing Britannia Club balconies will be refurbed.Great news for Single passengers as there will be 15 new Britannia Single staterooms.
Only half of the Britannia Balcony staterooms will be completed during the dry-dock refit
All other Britannia staterooms will be completed before 2017.

The Queen Mary 2’s Winter Garden will be transformed into a new venue ‘The Carinthia Lounge ‘
A new food and beverage which will include light breakfast and lunch options, speciality coffees and teas, a dedicated patisserie counter and champagne afternoon tea ( that’s where you will fine me ). In the evening it turns into a elegant venue with relaxed entertainment and will specialise in premium wines.

There will be a brand new signature restaurant called ‘The Verandah’
This will be a available at a supplement and will offer premium French cuisine.A special and memorable night for guests with table-side theatre.

The buffet restaurant The Kings Court is also having a refurb it will have a more open central buffet area and the seating arrangements have been to changed to create a relaxed self-service experience. Here you can expect to get a variety of cuisines from Italian, Indian, Pan Asian and a Tex Mex menu. Also will improved presentation using modern and flexible service counters with feature cooking demonstrations.
