Off to London – I’m a show guru!

I am really excited to be going to London this weekend with my husband and my friend Kjersti & her 2 daughters from Norway.  I haven’t seen her since June so will be great to catch up. I have never met her daughters yet so am looking forward to meeting them for the 1st time.

I finish work on Tuesday 19th November as I am going to a Norwegian Cruise Line training road show on Wednesday to increase my Knowledge – as I’ve said before always training. So will let you know all about this when I’m back in.

We are staying at The Lancaster Gate Hotel, near Hyde Park in the Bayswater area for 3 nights from Friday 22 November 2013.  I have pre-booked our train tickets as get them cheaper if book 3 months in advance. I still have my Oyster card from last time I went to get around London.

On Friday 22nd November we are off to The Queens Theatre to see ‘Les Miserables’, Adam & myself have seen it before about 4 years ago but I am really looking forward to it as I love the story and the music. My friend Kjersti has never seen it and her daughters have never been to London before so they are very excited. Hope I don’t annoy them singing along to all the songs!

We will do a bit of sightseeing on the Saturday which will involve a trip on the London Eye as I know Kjersti hasn’t been on before, we did try in June but the queue was far to long so this time we will make sure we do get on.

If anyone has any tips for half price or reduced tickets – please let me know.

I would like to do the London Dungeons but Adam isn’t too keen so I’ll have to persuade Kjersti to come in with me.

We haven’t planned everything we are going to do yet so will all discuss when we meet up on Friday lunch time.

After our day of sightseeing we are going to see Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre. I have seen this before in Manchester quite a few years ago so don’t really remember it. Adam has wanted to see this for years & Kjersti & her daughters have never seen it so should be a great night.

On Sunday 24th it is the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who so there is a  Convention at the ExCel  and we are lucky enough to have tickets & Adam is a Doctor Who buff this is for him! Not sure what to expect apart from maybe being attacked by a dalek but I’m sure it will be fun.

I have seen a lot of the West End Shows so you could say I’m a bit of a Theatre Guru but I love it – hence why I love the performances on board the cruise ships & they don’t cost anything which is always a bonus.

So I have an action packed week ahead of me and I’m really looking forward to it.  I am back in the office on Thursday 28th November so if you need any assistance whilst I’m away please call 0800 408 6200 and my colleagues will be happy to assist you.

I look forward to telling you all about London when I am back in so watch out for my blog.
