Devastation in the Caribbean

As we all know hurricane Irma hit the Caribbean with vengeance and caused major damage to multiple islands.  My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected.

Barbuda was one of the worst hit and is now ‘barely inhabitable’ and practically rubble.

Cruising ‘The Broads’

So I have just returned last week from my short break on The Norfolk Broads, it was lovely.  I have done this holiday a few times before and always enjoy it and this time was no different – we had a great time!

It is 7 years since we have done this kind of holiday, we went in July 2010 and took my daughter Kim & her friend Hannah but she doesn’t want to come this time as an adult now and will go away with her friends.

Outstanding Oceania Food!

Let me tell you about the food on board Oceania Insignia…

Where do I start? That is the question as it was all amazing.

First of all breakfast on ‘The Terrace Cafe’ was amazing, sitting outside at the rear of the ship (through the buffet restaurant) – a great selection of food for breakfast. My favourite whilst on a cruise ship is smoked salmon & scrambled egg & this didn’t disappoint – it was delicious!

All Aboard Insignia!

Last week I was lucky enough to be sent to see the Oceania Insignia, myself and my colleague Gail were to spend 3 nights on board this beautiful ship. This was the 180 day world voyage from the USA so we got to experience this luxury cruise line which I had wanted to try for some time & I wasn’t disappointed.

On Monday 22 May I was booked to go on a ship visit of the ‘Silver Whisper’ by Silversea Cruises.  We get invited to see ships all the time but do them on our days off as too busy to take time out of a working week. That’s how dedicated I am to see as many ships as possible as so much easier to sell when you have seen them.

Did you know you can take your dog or cat on board Queen Mary 2 if sailing transatlantic either from or to New York from Southampton?

QM2 has been refurbished and now has 12 kennels on board for your furry friend. There are rules for this so you can’t just take any dog with you.
