Extend your cruise holiday?

What a busy month it has been so far with cruise bookings.  I love January as it it one of the busiest months for people booking their holidays.  This weekend was supposed to be THE weekend to book according to the radio.

I have noticed this last couple of weeks that more people are extending their holidays to include a pre-cruise or post-cruise stay.  This is a great way to make your holiday a few days longer and see more of the departure city.  If you do a fly cruise then you don’t really get to see the area where your cruise is departing from so it is a perfect solution.

We do a lot of Tailor made packaging with the cruise lines to offer you that little bit more than just doing the cruise and I have noticed it this last few weeks that a lot of the bookings I have done have involved an extension on the cruise dates.

With so many destinations worldwide to visit there is always the opportunity to add on a few days in so many fantastic destinations.  Here are just a few:-

I have done cruise & stay in Venice, such a beautiful city and well worth a visit. I would suggest a minimum of 2 nights to see the city but a bit longer if you wish to visit the islands as well.  A lot of the hotels 4* & above offer a free trip to Murano – the home of glass making, we did this trip and it was fascinating.

We can choose from a wide range of hotels to suit your budget and offer shuttle or private transfers, we can even throw in an excursion or two depending on the destination.

Everything is arranged and booked for you so you know what time your transfers are, how long it takes so you have no need to worry about how to get from the airport to your hotel then to the port then back to the airport or vice versa.

Some cruises start and finish in 2 different ports so you can have a pre-cruise & a post cruise stay.  For example if you do a 10 night cruise, you could do 2 nights before and 2 nights after making it a 2 week holiday or a 3 night stay if you are doing a 7 night cruise to make it a 10 day holiday.

A great example of this is Celebrity cruises on board Equinox – departs from Venice and ends in Istanbul or departs from Rome & ends in Barcelona so a great way to extend this 7 night cruise & with FREE Classic Drinks Package available & on board credit OR free gratuities it’s a great time to book. This is all subject to the flights departing on the dates you wish to travel but we check all that for you.  We can offer regional flights too so you can fly from your local airport – we use schedule flights, charter flights & low cost carriers to get you the best deal.

A very popular cruise & stay holiday at the moment is Canada with an Alaska cruise, we can arrange a journey on the Rocky Mountaineer train with overnight stays in various destinations, you can choose where you wish to stay as their is a journey to suit all all tastes.

With various Alaska cruises to choose from you can see Canada & Alaska before or after the cruise.
