Fun on Infinity!

So I’ve told you about the various dining options on board Celebrity Infinity but what else is available to keep you entertained? In this blog I will tell you more….

We were very lucky to have a few good days weather so we were able to use the pool facilities up on deck 10, there there are 2 pools and 4 jacuzzi’s which are free to use by all guests.  Pool towels are provided and are usually on the sunbeds rolled up ready to use.  If you require more just go and get another one, no hassle.  There are plenty of sunbeds around the pool area and up on deck 11 so you can relax.  Bar Stewards walk around so always there when you fancy that refreshing drink.  There is also a self service tea, coffee, water & juice area so you can help yourself – this is complimentary also.

I must admit the water was a bit cold as it was October but myself & my colleague Paula did brave the pool but only lasted about 2 minutes before we hit the jacuzzi.  It would be so much better in mid summer in Europe or the Caribbean.  We watched people who decided to get in the pool but soon changed their minds once they realised just how cold it actually was.

The Jacuzzi was lovely and I could have stayed in here for a while but the recommended time is 20 minutes each time.

One thing I always treat myself to whilst I’m on a cruise is a massage.  So myself & Paula booked a full Swedish body massage at 3.45pm which was perfect timing to relax afterwards before getting ready for dinner.  I have had massages before but believe me this was the best.  The staff were so friendly from booking to actually doing the massage, they made us feel extremely relaxed throughout.  You are asked what pressure you prefer so can advise them if a soft, medium or hard massage and they accommodate your request.  I went for a medium but quite firm which was great.  I definitely recommend giving this a try.

There are various ways to book your appointment:-

1.  Visit the AquaSpa by Elemis to speak to the staff.
2.  Use you telephone in your cabin to book.
3.  Use your interactive TV in your room.

You can also use the gym which is kitted out with the latest equipment free of charge whenever you wish to, take part in an exercise class, a small fee is payable  e.g. spinning, cycling, aerobics, yoga & much more. Prices start from as little as £6 per session. How about a personal trainer to show you how to get the body you wish for, prices start from £45.

Do as much or as little as you wish – do a full work out or just chill out in the Aqua Spa pool for adults only – this is located on deck 10 towards the front of the ship.

There is also a salon so you can maybe have your hair or nails done for the gala night, how about some acupuncture or even teeth whitening – the list is endless! The staff are ever so helpful and will assist you with any questions you may have.

I got chatting to a lady as she was lost and was looking for the painting class – this was located on deck 3 in one of the conference rooms, she advised me she had attended quite a few of these classes & had learnt to make jewellery, play cards & now on her way to painting. She really got the most out of the activities on board.

In the evening after dinner why not head to the Martini Bar – this is located on Deck 4, this is an amazing meeting place and to have a cocktail which is prepared by the fantastic staff who are so talented – throwing bottles all over the place & even pouring 6 drinks as the same time – this is not to be missed.  The Martini Bar is actually an ice bar so drinks are kept chilled at all times. Most people we spoke to loved this bar, great atmosphere and entertaining staff.  We met here before dinner every evening then back again after dinner before heading off elsewhere.

There is a nightclub on board located on deck 11 and is called The Constellation Lounge – here you can dance the night away with the resident DJ – Prince, he will play all your favourites and takes requests.  Whilst we were on board they held a 60’s, 70’s & 80’s night which was great. Also a band called ‘Front Row’ – these were great and played a variety of songs old & new.  The club is open till the early hours so a great way to work off all the glorious food you can eat.

How about a bit of Karaoke – they held 2 nights for just an hour which was great fun, we all got up & had a sing.  Could have been on a for longer though as lots of people didn’t get to sing as so many requests. We had such fun on these nights.

My colleague Richard did a great job singing – ‘Yellow’ watch here:-
