I was lucky enough recently to go on Queen Mary 2 for my annual conference.
I have to say the trip got off to a wonderful start with Champagne waiting for me in my stateroom. Thank you Cunard.
I will tell you all about it another time but I have one comment I need to make and would love to hear from people who have sailed on her. I was allocated a Wheelchair access cabin as I was sharing with someone who had a disability and although the cabin was very spacious I noticed a problem and don’t know if this was because it was a disabled cabin or if all the cabins are the same.
The bathroom!
There was nowhere to put any toiletries in them. Apart from 2 very small quadrant shelves above the sink there were no cupboards to put any other toiletries in. I was ok as I was only on-board for 3 nights but what if I had been on longer?
This may seem rather insignificant but to most women it certainly is not.
How would anyone do a World voyage in this cabin?
I would love to hear from you if you have sailed on Queen Mary 2 and had a cabinet to store things or if you felt the same way I did because you didn’t.
Let me know.
