Want to dine at the exclusive Luminae? Take a look at the new Celebrity suite class restaurant.

In my last blog I took a closer look at some of the fantastic dining options on board the Celebrity Eclipse after my two night taster cruise. As I was re- reading my blog just a couple of days ago in dawned on me I had forgotten to tell you about “Luminae”. As a cruise agent my job is to know everything there is to know about cruising, and as you can imagine there is a lot to know! I have to confess that before my tour of the Eclipse I didn’t know a great deal about this new addition to the ship….and wow was I impressed.

So just what is Luminae…well this is a beautiful restaurant exclusively for suite guests on board. This new concept began in April and this is a restaurant where suite guests can have breakfast, lunch and evening meals. Not just on Eclipse but on other ship through out the fleet, this restaurant will be the place suite guests can relax and enjoying dining experiences through out their cruise. There are alwasy mixed feelings about so called “suite class dining” and some cruise guests don’t like it and feel all passengers no matter what grade of accomodation should dine together. I don’t think this is right. If you are suite passenger why not have extra special touches, and exclusive places on board the ship. A suite experience on board any ship is an enhanced one and you of course do pay for the luxury of this, so why not have an exculsive restaurant on board.

Luminae is stylish and contemporary in every sense of the word, beautifully designed with a relaxing and luxurious feel. You can see by the colours, whites, creams and so much light everywhere. What a place to dine in! As a suite guest you are lucky enough to enjoy this exclusive dining experience….and I must admit I was hoping my cabin had been upgraded to a suite just so I could dine here! No such luck I’m afraid. Although a couple of my very lucky colleagues did get a chance to dine in Luminae one evening and they highly recommended it.

Menu wise Luminae has a lot of live up to, especially with such high quality in the other restaurants on board the ship. In Luminae no item on the menu will appear more than once during a two week sailing…imagine all that choice! The menu’s also have wine pairing suggestions, another little touch to enhance your experience. I think that Luminae is certainly going to be a hit with the suite guests, it’s a space on board the busy ship where you can escape from it all in total luxury and feel really really special, what’s not to like!

thanks for reading as always Abbi. x
