Britannia’s looking very impressive.

With the launch of P&O’s Britannia fast approaching the excitement is building. The latest photos of the finished livery I think are very impressive. The largest union jack flag in the world, 94 metres long, needed over 400 litres of paint! Wow I wonder just how long it took to paint?

I think this new look for P&O is striking and bold, Britannia is certainly going to stand out from the crowd.

Britannia, P&O’s largest ship in the fleet is set to sail in March 2015. An impressive 141, 000 tons carrying over 3600 passengers will sail from Southampton next year.

So as well as the impressive look of Britannia what else is going to impress….

The Limelight Club, you will be able to dine whilst being entertained in this venue, a very popular choice. I have experienced this on board other cruise lines and loved it so can’t wait to give it a try at the Limelight Club.

The Retreat, this would be one of my favourite places on board. An outdoor spa terrace where you can sit back and relax in the cabanas.

The Three Tier Atrium, the beautiful atrium will be home to Eric Lanlard’s patisserie, just look at all the delicious cakes and pastries you can look forward too. The centre of the Atrium features the Starburst…part chandelier and part sculpture…it really does have the wow factor!

Food heroes 1

The Cookery Club, this is where you can learn to cook with one of the Food Heroes…will it be James Martin or maybe Marco Pierre White? This will be the first cookery class on board a British cruise ship and I think possibly one of the most popular activities to take part in.

There will be  13 different dining venues, 13 bar and no less than 9 entertainment areas. There will be 4 swimming pools including Serenity where you can escape for peace and tranquility and much more from this beautiful new ship.

So what do you think? Do you like the look of the Britannia’s new Union Jack design? Are you already booked and looking forward to your cruise?
