P&O Cruises Announces Major Investment In Arcadia and Aurora

P&O Cruises will be updating cherished adults-only ships, Arcadia and Aurora, as part of a newly announced multi-million-pound investment.

P&O Cruises have confirmed that initial works, due to be completed in May, include upgrading guest areas, installing new furniture in open deck areas, chairs in cabins and balcony furniture. The Neptune Pool on Arcadia will also be fitted with brand-new lounge chairs, tables, armchairs and sofas.

A wider refit of Arcadia is due to take place in November 2024, and Aurora will also undergo an extensive refit in April 2025.

Arcadia and Aurora are two of our most beloved ships in the fleet offering guests a more intimate experience in stylish surroundings. After a busy season hosting guests on longer duration itineraries and world cruises, we will be making sure that both ships look their absolute finest ahead of the summer season.

P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said

Before major works, both Arcadia and Aurora will be setting sail on a number of exciting voyages in 2023 and early 2024 around the British Isles, Australia, and the USA.

Departing on the 6 July 2023, Arcadia will embark on a 14-night cruise calling at iconic British destinations, such as Belfast, Stornoway, Lerwick, and Holyhead. On 6 January 2024, Arcadia will then set sail on an epic 46-night fly cruise starting from sunny Sydney, Australia calling at various ports, including Freeport in the Bahamas, Port Everglades, Panama Canal, Puerto Quetzal, Manzanillo, Honolulu, Apia in the Samoa Islands, Auckland, and Bay of Islands.

Aurora will depart from Southampton on 3 September 2023 for a grand 30-night cruise to various Canadian and USA ports, including Sydney in Nova Scotia, Charlottetown, Boston, New York, Portland, and St John’s NF, among other destinations.
