Epic new entertainment on board Arvia revealed by P&O Cruises

Fans of game shows and the new P&O Cruises ship Arvia are in for a treat, as the British cruise line has just revealed details of all the entertainment which will be on board the vessel, launching this December.

As part of the entertainment roster on board Arvia, Good Morning Britain, Tipping Point and This Morning presenter Ben Shephard will be virtually hosting a brand new interactive game show, created exclusively for P&O Cruises.

The new quiz show is called WaveLength, whereby guests will have the opportunity to find out how much they really know each other and try to match their partner’s answers. Arvia’s stunning Headliners Theatre will play host to the game show.

Having hosted many game shows on TV, I’m excited to have partnered with P&O Cruises in evolving this prime time style TV game show into a live, interactive theatre experience. Developed with Triple Brew, who have created shows like The Million Pound Cube and Lingo, WaveLength is designed to be both entertaining and challenging.

I can’t wait for guests to enjoy playing along with myself and my on-board co-host, competing to see if they truly are on the same ‘WaveLength’, and trying to outsmart me in Beat Ben

The Headliners Theatre will also be home to a new stage musical, Greatest Days – The Official Take That Musical.

An adaptation of the acclaimed West End spectacular The Band, Greatest Days features toe-tapping hits, including A Million Love Songs and Relight My Fire, by infamous boyband Take That.

Outside of the Headliners Theatre, the whole family will be able to do a range of activities at Altitude, Arvia’s outdoor adventure area.

As part of the Altitude, big and little kids can enjoy shade and sprinklers in the new aqua zone, Splash Valley, walk 54m above the ocean on the first high ropes at sea, Altitude Skywalk, and aim for hole-in-ones at Altitude Minigolf, a tropical themed minigolf course which will be open day and night.

Those looking for even more adventure will be able to step abroad on the fictional submarine Arvia II and take part in an immersive escape game. Players will need to utilise their problem-solving skills to escape danger in this exhilarating underwater challenge.

There’s no need to feel sheepish taking part in a range of Aardman activities on offer onboard Arvia too. P&O Cruises have teamed up with the animation studio to offer a range of Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep-themed activities, including craft workshops, dance classes and even film premieres.

Additionally, movie buffs will be able to enjoy blockbuster smash hits in Ocean Studios on board, a three-screen multiplex cinema. Or, for those looking for sophistication and glamour, The 710 Club offers live music performed by a resident band in swanky surroundings accompanied by alluring cocktails.

Arvia will be departing on her maiden voyage on 9 December 2022, on a 14-night itinerary starting from Southampton and calling at Lisbon, Madeira, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Cadiz.

The all-new ship will then depart on several other Caribbean and Mediterranean itineraries in 2023.

Alongside the exceptional new entertainment offerings on board, Arvia will offer passengers a modern, varied and exquisite cruising experience. The ship will feature a SkyDome with a retractable glass roof, swim-up bar, infinity pool, Oasis Spa and Health Club and more.
