Cunard And Michel Roux Bring Back La Govroche At Sea Experience!

Michelin-starred and popular TV personality chef Michel Roux is bringing back his popular Le Gavroche at-sea experience to two Cunard ships this summer!

Michel will oversee the five-night Le Govroche residencies, delivered in partnership with the Norwegian Seafood Council, during four spectacular Norwegian Fjords voyages, departing with the hotly anticipated new ship Queen Anne and Cunard favourite Queen Mary 2. The residency is due to be hosted in onboard eateries The Verandah and Sir Samuels, which will cater for up to 60 guests for an additional fee and showcase the flavours of the sea via a five-course menu.

Alongside the residency, Michel is also crafting an exclusive fresh gala menu for Queen Anne’s Queens Grill and Princess Grill restaurants, as well as a Golden Lion menu full for the new Cunard ship.

“We are incredibly honoured to exclusively host Le Gavroche at sea and continue our exciting partnership with Michel Roux. Just as Michel sets the bar for fine dining, we at Cunard set the bar for luxury ocean travel, and his innovative approach to celebrating traditional Norwegian cuisine perfectly aligns with our dedication to offering guests unforgettable and culturally rich experiences.”

Katie McAlister, President of Cunard

The first residency at sea will be hosted on Queen Mary 2’s 2nd June 2024 sailing, departing from Southampton for seven nights calling at Olden, Bruges (Zeebrugge), Skjolden and Hardangerfjord.

Just a month later, the Le Govroche residency will join Queen Mary 2 again on 4th August 2024 for the second residency. The 12-night cruise, departing from Southampton, will visit Hamburg overnight, Alesund, Olden and Bergen.

After Queen Mary 2, Michel’s residency will take over Sir Samuels on a Queen Anne cruise departing on 11th August 2024 for seven nights, sailing to Stavanger, Haugesund, Olden and Geiranger. The last residency takes place onboard Queen Anne’s 1st September 2024 seven-night sailing to Bergen, Haugesund, and Geiranger.
