Norwegian Getaway offers bags of entertainment

Norwegian Cruise Line’s Getaway is a Florida-themed ship that offers broadway shows, magic tricks and a pirate-style escape for children.

According to the Daily Mail, the ship has a myriad of entertainment options for all ages, including The Illusionarium where magicians perform astonishing tricks during dinner and the serving staff are dressed up in Edwardian flying outfits.

Guests can also wander over to the Grammy Experience and watch live performances from past winners of musical awards, including Sugar Blue, Carolyn Malachi and  Roddie Romero. There are also exhibits attached to th experience, such as stage costumes worn by the Jackson Five.

In addition, the Getaway offers passengers the chance to see productions that have been on broadway. Currently, the ship’s guests can see Legally Blonde, which comes complete with upbeat peppy songs and a whole load of pink.

A bright Florida theme can be seen throughout the ship, from the colourful swirls on the hull to the pirate-motif children’s Splash Academy pool.

According to the newspaper, there are 27 dining options onboard across 14 decks, so there will be plenty to choose from at meal times.
