Upgrade those flights

Greetings cruisers,

Hope you are all well and having fun cruising the world, I know I am having fun booking them for you, so today I am not going to talk about cruising but about flying, yes that one element of a holiday that most of us have to endure, yes it can be a right pain and if any of you are like me and absolutely hate flying then this is what you must do.

Upgrade Upgrade Upgrade

Yes, great if you have a bucket full of money to throw at the flights but let me just tell you, it is so worth it. Last year I travelled to Bangkok and booked direct with Qatar, yes doing it this way was a little more expensive than going through a search engine BUT now hear me out. Once I booked economy with the airline I immediately joined their membership club, too be fair I had never bothered before but for some reason I had some spare time on my hands and joined. Guess what? A couple of weeks before my flight I received an email from them offering me the chance to upgrade from Economy to Business class for only £250 each way, blimey what a deal, I decided to do it and blimey what an experience, worth absolutely every penny, from the club lounge at the airport, the full length bed on the plane, priority immigration line, exquisite food and the on board bar. It totally blew me away, normally flying can be very stressful for me and I absolutely hate doing it, but business class is the way to go, yes you can pay 4 or 5 times the cost of an economy ticket, but hey it’s worth every penny. So the next time you are saving for your cruise, just save a little more each month to cover the business flights and I promise you, economy travel will be long forgotten.

Too be fair it’s costing me a lot more now than it did but hey I would not travel any other way.
