Wild Alaskan Salmon!

Have you been watching wild Alaska on BBC?

I started watching it this week as like so many other people i am fascinated with nature programs

Thee first episode tells the unique story of the wild Salmon who from birth remember the very river they are born it. The swim miles away only to return in August to the very stream they were born in.

Swimming in their hundreds of thousands they descend upon Alaska and in doing so they start a whole environmental food chain and an eco system for so many species. Unfortunately for the wild Pink Salmon of Alaska they are not alone in the rivers quarries’ and icy glaciers, they are joined by brown bears and polar bears as well as hawks and eagles. Looking to get their piece of the action.

Lets not forget less than 10 weeks later the bear will go into hibernation and will be stocking up on food for 6 months.

Its no surprise that in the weeks the show has been live on the air we have seen a huge increase in the number of customers calling in for Alaska cruises. We have been very successful at selling various Rocky Mountaineer train tours of Canada off the back of the Alaskan cruises.

For me and many others this has always been my dream holiday and there are ao many options not limited to

Land tours

  • Rocky mountaineer train journeys with various different routes
  • Land tours of Alaska’s many natural parks which are world heritage sites.
  • Cruise & Stay

This to me is the biggest reason you need an expert at the other end of the phone to cut through the noise and be able to differentiate between the many different options available to you.

Its important that if you are planning a once in a lifetime trip at some considerable expense then it’s worth getting it right.

Let me Know if you are planning a trip last minute or for 2018 so like the salmon you can know exactly where to go.
