Over the past few years i would say cruising as a whole has really moved on in the holiday market, forcing all cruise lines to really pull out the stops. We have had the likes of Royal Caribbean and NCL launching monster vessels, P&O changing their tradional itineraries to keep up with Demand in popular areas such as Malta and Dubia. Also MSC and Princess bring our technically advanced ships, but recently a little unknown cruise line are also making waves and for me are very much the ones to watch the coming years, they are CRUISE AND MARITIME!!!!!

When German based Transocean Tours filed for bankruptcy in 2009 Cruise and Maritime were formed by its parent company Cruise & Maritime Services International.

This traditional British cruise line are  based in Essex and boast mainly small to Midsize adult only ships,  They pride themself in offering good home away from home service with  a small and intimate cruise exprience without the price tag you would normally have with this kind of cruise line.  C&M currently hold a small fleet of just 6 ships with the most recent addition the Columbus launching just last week, and they sail out of 6 UK ports with TIlbury being their home port close to their HQ.

Their cruise itineraries range from 1 night mini cruise breaks to their popular full 121 night world cruise, and with their smaller vessels this allows them to get into some of the worlds smaller ports of call and closer to heart of your destinations which saves on transfer times, that comes with larger cruise liners not being abe to  fit into.

GREAT VALUE

Over the last few years their prices have been amazing with regulary offering “BUY ONE GET ONE FREE” on most sailling including their WORLD CRUISE PACKAGES. Also when BOGOF’s are not included they offer as much as 40% off their prices.

SINGLE PASSENGERS

Single passenger fares i find as a sale consultant very frustrating for myself and for my  customers, however in recent months i have noticed some fantastic prices for single passenger with C&M, in some case i have been able to offer prices  £50 more for a single cabin than twin, these sell out quickly but i have suprised a few customers with these fares.

DRINKS PACKAGES

C&M drinks package I think are very reasonable at just £17pppn for 6 night sailings or more, this includes

• House Wine, draught beer and soft drinks by the glass during meal hours in the restaurants.
• House Wine, draught beer, cocktails and other alcoholic drinks by the glass from all bars during opening hours except premium brands.
• Soft drinks and juices by the glass from all bars during opening hours.
