“For the first time in forever” Disney cruise welcome Frozen!

Disney FROZEN mania strikes again! After 2 academy awards, Golden globes, BAFTA, racking in $1.3 billion in worldwide box office and becoming the highest-grossing animated movie of all time. Queen Elsa, Anna and Olaf are heading for the high seas.

If you have been asleep for the past 18 months and somehow managed to miss this world wide phenomenon, Disney’s Frozen was Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen, the film tells the story of the fearless princess Anna who sets off on an epic journey alongside a rugged iceman called Kristoff, his loyal pet reindeer Sven, and a niave but lovable snowman Olaf to find her estranged sister Queen Elsa, whose icy powers have inadvertently trapped the kingdom of Arendele in an eternal winter.

However if you love the film and simply want more then look no further as from June 2015 your Frozen favourites will be guests of honour on board Disney Cruise Lines for sailings in Alaska and Europe. Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will  have 1 days on each sailing entirely dedicated to Frozen fun. In addition to this all 4 ships with be adding these beloved characters to their meet and greet sessions.

On these special days ,the guests will awake to discover a magical freeze has overtaken the atrium lobby with sparkling icicles adorning the grand staircase, resembling the majestic mountain-top ice palace of Queen Elsa, the ship will have turned into a Magical Winter wonderland.

This unique experience will include a deck party, a meet and greet with the characters including Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff, storybook adventures ashore, and a three-song stage show production

Other highlights will include ‘Anna’s Chase for the Chocolate’ scavenger hunt, ‘Do You Want to Build a Snowman’ activity, where they will take on Elsa’s magical powers to create snow and ice and so much more.

During my trip to Walt Disney world Orlando, last February Frozen was relatively new having only just come to cinema around 8 weeks before, but even after such a short time we knew by 4 hour character meet and greet queue in Epcots Norway that this was going to be big, and we were not wrong. Since then Frozen Mania has certainly hit the Turner house, with 3 young fans not including myself, this new theme definitely  appeals to my family.

So if you want to “let if go”,” in summer” 2015 and feel that “reindeers are better than people” then Disney are the “fixer upper” cruise for you with sailings from Dover and a number of European ports.  Why not join them to relive all your favourite moments from this Disney hit.
