Disney’s Game Changer

Last month the Official Disney Fan club hosted their bi-annual D23 Expo, which is notorious for huge exciting announcements for anything coming to Disney, and the 2017, 3 days event in California didn’t disappoint the die hard Disney fans.

Along with new film trailers, Walt Disney park reveals, new rides, restaurants and much much more for us at cruise.co.uk the biggest news is that Disney have surprised cruise fans with the promise of 3!!!! new ships by 2023.

Originally it as announced a number of  months ago that Disney were expecting two new magical deliveries by 2022, but the surprise at Expo was that a third will also join the fleet by 2023, all of which will be powered by LNG, and will all be larger than their current Dream and Fantasy.

All designs, ships names, itineraries ect are still in the planning stage, but personaly I think his news is fantastic for all Disney cruise fans. The new vessels will explore a  generation of innovative cruise experiences designed especially for families that will transform the art-of-cruising and take guests on adventures in a way never experienced before, and will prove just how much they have evolved since first hitting our waters in 1998.

Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Bob Chapek, said: ‘We decided two ships wouldn’t be enough to hold all of the exciting new experiences we have been dreaming up to take family cruise vacations to a whole new level with immersive Disney storytelling, world-class family entertainment, and imaginative innovations that are fantastically fun and uniquely Disney. By the time all three new ships are sailing, we’ll have nearly doubled the size of our existing fleet.’
