Will there be a fairy tale ending to our Xmas trip?

Like most companies we are having our annual Xmas party/ get together next week, unlike most Cruise.co.uk have managed to get it on-board the P&O Arcadia on the 2 night Mini Break.

Yes, 3 days of partying with the colleagues and if last years trip is to go by it should be a good 1.

As well as having this arranged for us by work, P&O also did their bit to make us feel very welcomed, and at times special with our own cocktail party and dining in some of the specialty restaurants. Click here to see my previous blog of this trip. As you can imagine everyone is (was) looking forward to the trip until today.

**** Breaking news****

Due to the Arcadia being in dry dock and someone falling behind schedule the Arcadia’s 2 day mini break has been cancelled!!!!!

Yes, cancelled.

Many very disappointed colleagues and to make matters worse, we also have many customers of our own on this sailing looking forward to it as much as we were. Xmas shopping in Bruges and party fun onboard has now been replaced with our local high street and the Ex-Servicemens club!!!

Well the time has been booked off, flights and train tickets have been brought, many non refundable so what to do.

It seems our own Fairy Godmother may have come to the rescue. Everyone has been told not to cancel any travel arrangements so lets see what happens.

For us it was just a get together, my heart goes out to all those that had booked this for a special occasion and I hope you all get to do something special doing something else.

If this has affected you then let me know what you have done as an alternative.
