What are you doing with the kids this half term?

I have 4 children and every holiday is a struggle looking to do things and take them places that they all can enjoy.

Obviously when it comes to holidays then cruising is great but day trips can be a challenge.

I thought I would share an idea I have thought of doing with them next week, cruise related naturally!!!

The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich,London.

Now if you’re thinking that no good, you are nowhere near London don’t worry, there are a few scattered around the UK.

Falmouth, Cornwall is another National Museum, there is the Merseyside Museum in Liverpool but if you use a decent search engine you can find almost 300 Naval and Maritime Museums in the UK alone. There must be 1 on your doorstep.

The Greenwich Museum looks amazing with state of the art technology displays, history shows and stands, collections of coins, flags, naval uniforms, figure heads etc and interactive shows.

Lectures are also there but you will need to check their website for specific dates and guests.

For those energetic children there is a children’s gallery and a ship simulator, the chance to steer a ship to shore and fire a cannon at some dastardly pirates.

I think February half term will see me and the kids there for the day, floods, storms and other weather elements permitting!!!
