Not just a cruise

Long gone are the days where you jumped on a ship, followed the itinerary to the brochure and then jumped off and went home.

Yes you can still do this and yes will still have a great holiday but so many of us are now wanting to make the most of these long distance trips around the world.

When doing your cruise and the many excursions that come with them you are tied to visits no more than a couple of hours away from the port. Now many travellers will start their holiday days before the cruise or extend their holidays for a few days after the cruise, or both.

What do I mean?

Well at the moment my most popular trip is a Luxury cruise starting in Rio, down to Montevideo and Buenos Aires and then back to Rio but the holiday does not have to end there.

You can extend the stay by staying a few days on Copacabana Beach, or even go there a few days before the cruise or why not see one of the wonders of South America, Iguazu Falls. Just a 2 hour direct flight away from Rio and lots of very cheap Iguazu Hotels to choose from you can finish off an amazing holiday with some amazing views of these falls.

Then there is the Far East options, cruises from Hong Kong can incorporate a guided tour of some of China’s amazing sites, The Terracotta Army, The Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square for example.
