Adventure of the Seas, Day 4

My last day on the cruise ship and so far so good.

Today was a slow sail back to Southampton, so slow we hardly moved which was great as this reduced the breeze around the pool and the sports courts.

As per my previous days I had great breakfast followed by a wonder around the ship looking to see what was going on.

There was plenty going on, shopping on the promenade, a cake display ready to be cut up later that day, kids, and their dads, playing Ten Pin Bowling in the lounge, on Wii, quiz in 1 of the bars, internet cafe had plenty of terminals and a bit of Ice Skating, this is just what I saw.

For something a little different there was a tour of the ship’s galley at lunch time. This consisted of having a walk all the way through the kitchen area where the chefs could display there fine (food) art. Once through the galley it was time for a short wait in the dining room whilst other guests had their tour before revisiting the Galley and helping myself to my lunch, buffet style.

This tour is usually free and by invite, normally for those that have sailed with Royal Caribbean before.

My afternoon was spent watching some comedies on the Big Screen by the pool and wishing I was still young and fit enough to tackle the sports courts and rock climbing wall.

What I did find later in the afternoon, right up my street was an Ice Show performed by figure, dance skaters from all over the planet. The show was based on Fire and Ice and was acted out to some great scenes and props and recognizable/ classic songs from yesteryear.

My cruise was coming to an end and time to go and pay for my room bill.

Each guest in a room has there own itemised bill so it is easy to see how much you have spent individually.

Paying for my bill took patience as there was a 30 minute queue, my lesson to this and advise is to set up your on board account with your debit/credit card before you board the ship, as i said the bill is itemised and updated on your TV screen as soon as you buy something so there is no worry about being charged for something you have not purchased.

All in all this was a very pleasant cruise on a cruise ship that has so much to offer from dining, to clubbing, kids clubs, shows, saunas, ice skating, roller blading, modern gym, sports courts, crazy golf, quizzes, latest movies  and so much more and all free of charge.

Definitely value for money.
