MSC Fantasia what did I think ?

Well !! I went on this trip with an open mind , got a fantastic deal , over Christmas and have heard all of the moans and groans from passengers in the past, warned hubby , and as I have said before , don’t knock it until you have tried it !!

Strawberry Daiquiri, the best I have ever tasted, I was told to try these so had to put the proof up that I did !! Often !

We started in Genoa on 17/12/2015 , having last done this with P&O the arrival was a little chaotic to say the least, not helped by many people not understanding what really to do, I think this could have been a little better organised, the transfer was fine and after a little delay we were all aboard.

What a ship, she really is beautiful, and I can only say one word , immaculate. From the cabin to the main areas, people constantly cleaning, plenty of hygiene spray (for those of us who used it) absolutely nothing to pick fault with on this score.

MYTH-BUSTER – You do NOT pay €10 for a deck towel, you will be charged this amount if not returned to your cabin, I did not feel this was too much to ask, there are 4220 passengers on board, just take your towels back to the cabin , if they are left in the bathroom your cabin attendant will refresh them .

MYTH-BUSTER – Drinks are limited , no they are not, we had the Allegrissimo AI , and a fantastic package , you are limited to two red wine, two white and one Rose, so if you happen not to like any of these you would have to pay for any others. We treated ourselves to a nice bottle of Red one night and it was only €20 still reasonable prices. If like my husband, you are not a lager drinker, you may have to spend a little more, a guiness was €6.33 including tax and this was a very small bottle, he switched to lager every couple of days !!

ENTERTAINMENT – Mmmmmm…. was okay, we went to the theatre a couple of nights and the Michael Jackson Tribute was really good, some opera evenings, and classical music, I think they tried to reach all tastes , again very difficult with so many passengers. There were some good singers and bands on in various bars and of course the biggest Casino I have seen at see for some time, Huge.

I have loads of photographs and just need my technical wizard to get them all loaded for me. I will post more in a few days.

More to come !!!!
