Japanese night out , with a surprise!

Miyako Teppanyaki , never though you would see me here? What a fabulous experience we were giving by the lovely team @ Silverseas cruises this week. Whenever there is a get together us homeworkers flock to it, especially if its close to home like Birmingham , 15 minutes on the train and off we went with several of the other crew from head office on Tuesday this week.

Its a great atmosphere to go with a group of friends and the chefs were really entertaining. Starter is small but enough with a bowl of salad , soup to follow and then a great display of cooking the fried rice getting people up to crack the eggs , some attempts were pretty poor ! but all good fun. Chicken and beef to follow and even a refreshing pudding. As you can see the wine certainly agreed with everyone, very much appreciated.

BUT the BEST part for me, there was a draw for a trip on one of the beautiful silver seas ships, The Spirit, for four nights, and yeah you guessed it, I won! With a massive thanks to the generosity of the company I work for, I am flying out on Saturday for four nights in the sun with lots of other lucky people. We start in Athens and get off in Turkey, temperatures at the moment in the late 20’s so the Ray-bans are coming out again for a few days.

So you can guess that my next blog will be full of pictures, not too many of food !! All of the suites (not cabins) have a butler, not quite sure what to do with that? will be interesting.

So till the next one, enjoy your weekend
