Silver Spirit, what a lovely experience

Every now and then we are lucky enough to experience some of the ships we send people on all year round, last week I was lucky enough to win one of these on board Silverseas Silver Spirit. Six star luxury , four nights from Athens to Marmaris.

If you ever need to leave from Terminal five, it has to be the Thistle Hotel, this is the only Hotel serviced by a POD , just at the back of the hotel and completely automated, cost £5 each way, and drops you directly at car park two level , 30 second walk into the airport, fantastic.

All went pretty smooth , we got together with other ladies on the trip and on arrival in Athens went in search of a cab to the port , this is around €55 for just a normal cab , there were five of us so we got a mini van for €100 pretty good prices and the journey took about 50 minutes, straight to the port and ready for check in.

I had suite 724 which is a B5 grade and very nice it was too, along with my butler, and no he did not unpack for me, but quite happy to do so !!

What more can I say , really comfortable beds, two televisions which are discreetly hidden in the mirrors, you could sleep a third person in here and there are curtain dividers for a little privacy should you wish to do this.

Out first port of call was Chios in Greece, unlucky for us this was a Sunday so mostly closed, a nice walk along the front though as the weather was around 28 degrees , in October !! What I wanted these pictures to show you is how easy the smaller ships get close to the ports, this was 40 odd steps and we were off, no long queues at all.

I could carry on and flood you will more pictures,  I will save this for another blog! If anyone wants to know more about this beautiful ship do not hesitate in contacting me 0330 303 8215 or email me, [email protected]
