Celebrity Eclipse to remain in the UK for another year.

So what with the news that two new cruise ships, P&O Britannia and RCI Anthem of the Seas will both sail from Southampton in 2015, I thought that they have had their time in the spotlight and now to concentrate on an ‘Old’ Favourite.

Celebrity Eclipse entered the Celebrity Cruise fleet and was the 3rd of 5 Solstice Class ships, her sisters are the Reflection, Silhouette, Equinox and the Solstice. These are the biggest ships currently operating for Celebrity Cruises worldwide. Totalling 122,000 gross tons and carrying just 2,852 people she will certainly be a great option for those that want the larger ships but find these new ships to big.

Personally and as many of you whom have spoken to me will know, Celebrity is my favourite cruise line of all and I have been very fortunate to see the likes of Seabourn, Regent and Silversea and although they are beautiful ships and the concept is ultra-luxury, I must say that I prefer Celebrity and what with the drinks being included now on most cruises this is definitely the right way forward for Celebrity.

Celebrity’s catch line is ‘5* Modern Luxury’ and they really are, there ships are light and bright, finished with lots of creams, browns and silver’s this helps to give an air of grace, elegance and expensive without it being to ‘over the top’.

I am not going to go to much in to what the Eclipse is like on board as I will do a full ship review soon, however if you are planning to go on her let me know and we can have a chat to see whether she is right for you.

One of my favourite places on board is the ‘Lawn Club’, this is unique and found only on the Celebrity Solstice Class of ships. This area covers the middle right to the back of the ship and it is real grass, there is something about getting up early, and walking bare feet over real grass whilst sailing along with the sunrise. They even have a Gardner employed just to look after this area of grass. What a Job!

So below I am going to tell you abit about what she is doing in 2015, these cruises do go on sale on the 13th March for Captains Club Members and the on General Sale on the 18th March, but if you are not past passengers, but want to book give me a call as sometimes we can get staterooms earlier.

She is due to have a refit in April 2015 so the Transatlantic Cruise details are yet to be released.

We do know however she is doing the following,

9th May 2015 – 7 Night Norway Cruise

Then from the 14th May till the 30th May she is on a Private Charter

30th May 2015 – 15 Nights Scandinavia, Russia and Eastern Europe Cruise

14th June 2015 – 13 Night Scandinavia and Russia Cruise

27th June 2015 – 14 Night Iceland and the Fjords Cruise

11th July 2015 – 14 Night Scandinavia and Russia Cruise

25th July 2015 – 14 Night Scandinavia and Russia Cruise

8th August 2015 – 14 Night Scandinavia and Russia Cruise

22nd August 2015 – 8 Night Norwegian Fjords Cruise

30th August 2015 – 14 Night Mediterranean Cruise

13th September 2015 – 14 Night Canaries and Azores Cruise

27th September 2015 – 13 Night Canaries and Azores Cruise

10th October 2015 – 11 Night Spain and Canary Islands Cruise

21st October 2015 – 11 Night Spain and Canary Islands Cruise

With Celebrity being the more Adult Brand of Royal Caribbean International she is concentrating more on Northern Europe for the History and Culture so if you are looking to do the Mediterranean then the 30th August is the only date she will do this, also if you want a shorter cruise the 22nd August is the only 8 nighter she’s doing, we anticipate these will sell out first.

So have you been on Celebrity? Fancy giving them a try?

Any questions you may have please don’t hesitate to contact me, we do have a guide line of the prices here so just give me a call or drop me an email.

This could be you!!
