Pork Belly Topped With Ice Cream?

Yes, you read that right.  This is just one of the new menu items to be featured in ‘Wonderland’, Royal Caribbeans new experimental and creative restaurant concept showcasing superior variety, quality and design.

Royal Caribbean are describing it as ‘Magical and Mysterious – An intimate, 62-seat restaurant within an edgy and surreal dining environment, Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine uses color, scale and reflection to infuse elements of surprise and delight throughout the entire dining experience.’

It’s all very ‘Heston’ but looks fantastic!

Here’s the menu (click to enlarge):

The dining room itself has a magical feel to keep with the theme:

The chef is Cornelius Gallagher, Director of Culinary Operations at Royal Caribbean International. For over 25 years he has worked at some of the world’s top restaurants and hotels as a Chef, owner-operator, consultant and educator—and now he brings his considerable culinary talents to the Quantum class of ships.

I would definitely pay the cover charge to eat in this restaurant – it looks like a fantastic experience.

This restaurant will feature on Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas.

Would you like to try out this restaurant? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
