Trump & Brexit

So, the world has gone mad again. Or at least that’s how I see it. Those who want to remain still can’t get over the fact that the vote was counted, verified and confirmed. The nation voted to leave the EU. Yes, there was 16m people who voted to stay but let’s not forget it was 17m people who voted to leave. It’s called a democracy not a dictatorship. I believe the Government isn’t helping and it’s total chaos with the whole Brexit deal. Personally I think if we’re leaving it should be we’re leaving and that’s it. The whole country should get behind the Government and support them as after all it’s all our futures. I don’t agree with those who voted to remain to be allowed to march and protest the way they have been. Had it been the other way and the decision was to stay would those who voted to leave be allowed to continue to protest and march and spit their dummy out because the vote wasn’t in their favour? I think you’d find the answer is no. What’s the point of being part of a democracy and having a vote if we’re allowed to behave like this afterwards. Accept it, get over it and move on. We don’t all like change but things happen and we have to go with it. Trump, coming to the U.K and meeting our Queen and Prime Minister. So what! He’s not our President so again why are we the British people lowering ourselves to have mass demonstrations against him? It doesn’t matter if we agree with his politics or our own personal opinion of him. He’s the President of the United States of America and a guest in our country. We should just mind our own business and respect him for who he is and welcome him to our country like I’m sure he would welcome our Queen and Prime Minster in the states. There’s a lot of anger towards Mr Trump, regardless of people’s opinions and what they think of him and the rumours to what he has and hasn’t done in the past let’s not forget again the American people voted him in office. Give the man a chance. I see the American’s voted him in office and all those who disagree have been allowed to protest and march, similar to those who voted remain in our referendum. I just think it’s wrong. This has nothing to do with my own personal opinion on either Brexit or Trump but it’s about respecting the choices made when the public has spoken. If we don’t respect those wishes what will become of the world? You don’t like a vote, then what’s the point in having one? Who then decides on what is right or wrong? We have a vote for just that reason. We’re two great nations us and America. We need to get behind our countries and support the decisions made. Regardless of personal opinions, nothing good will come of the protests and we’ll just waste time effort and money. I personally don’t agree with everything but I’ve accepted it and will support the country. Rant over.
