The World’s Largest Ship Is Now Afloat

Everyone in the world of cruising has been waiting for the launch of Royal Caribbean’s Symphony Of The Seas for quite some time now.

This ship is Royal Caribbean’s 4th Oasis Class ship and it is the sister ship of Harmony Of The Seas.  Here are some vital staistics for you:

Passengers: 5,475

Crew: 2,390

Decks: 17

Length: 1188 ft

Tonnage: 227,000

Some of the www.cruise.co.uk team have been lucky enough to go onboard before its official launch.  Here is an exclusive glimpse of the largest cruise ship in the world.

The Ultimate Abyss

This is the tallest slide at sea.  The 10 story slide is more than 150 feet above sea level and offers side-by-side slides that send guests down 10 decks at 9 miles per hour!  Will you be brave enough to have a go?

The Bionic Bar

The Bionic Bar was first introduced on four of the Royal Caribbean ships – Harmony Of The Seas, Quantum Of The Seas, anthem Of The Seas and Ovation Of The Seas so of course Symphony Of The Seas would not have been complete without it.

Two robots man the bar where they will muddle, stir, shake and strain all kinds of drinks for you.  They can produce two drinks per minute and can make up to 1,000 drinks each day.  Guests can create an order on a specially programmed tablet or with the staff.  I would love to see this in action!

The Royal Loft Suite

Being the largest ship in the world there is plenty of choice of cabin types.  One of the top suites is the Royal Loft Suite.  This stateroom is two decks high with panoramic views.  It features separate bedrooms, a private balcony with Jacuzzi, flat screen tv’s, a wet bar, two dining areas and a Baby Grand Piano.  This stateroom can sleep up to 6 guests so it is perfect for the larger families.  This is definitely on my bucket list to stay in!

I hope you have enjoyed this insight into the newest ship afloat and I hope this blog makes you want to book your next cruise onboard this floating palace.

Until next time Happy Cruising!
