Top 5 weirdest themed cruises.

With many different types of themed cruises out there these days, I thought i’d highlight  just a few of the more bizarre. You can tell me if these are a good thing or not!

The Knitting Cruise

This one’s for the adrenalin junkies. Revel in relaxing  days at sea knitting. Take a knitting class or just relax in a comfortable deck chair while knitting  and watching the scenery go by.

The New Kids on the Block Cruise

That’s right, you can spend your ‘Summertime’ with Donnie, Danny, Jordan, Jonathan and Joey. Cruising from NYC to Bermuda in June 2014 there will be surprise events and themed deck parties. Sadly Marky Mark was otherwise engaged.

The Cougar Cruise

No not a cruise full of angry mountain lions, there are now 3 night cruises designed for older women to meet younger men for ‘companionship’ – that’s ‘companionship’, where do I sign?!

The Steampunk Cruise

Steampunk is a retro-futuristic, post-apocalyptic sub-genre of sci-fi. No I don’t understand either. Anyhow, this cruise sails from New Orleans and visits Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Cozumel, promising seven days of Steampunk music, metal and lace.

The Kenny G Cruise

Oh my god no!…. You can now roam the Alaskan waters with the smooth sax delights of Kenny G for a week on a cruise departing from Vancouver. Life can be so cruel!

I’d love to hear what your ideal themed cruise would be, let me know!

  1. I first heard Kenny G in America twenty five years ago and have seen him several times in England, he’s a marvellous saxophonist and I think this is a real insult and I’m not joking.

  2. Whatever are those knitted items, presumably knitted by the little old lady?
I know what they look like, but she can’t be doing that surely?
