Whats on the Horizon?

So just last week the Carnival Horizon set sail on her maiden voyage from Barcelona on 2 April 2018.

I am very excited to be headed off on Horizon in July in a Havana Cabana sailing out from New York.

But whats new onboard Horizon, what will she offer in comparison to her sister ship the Carnival Vista.

We travelled on Vista during her maiden season in 2016 and it was fantastic particularly as we stayed in on the of the Havana cabana cabins which are quite simply the best:

Now the Horizon is very similar to the Vista but has a few different features, one of them being shopping.

For the first time at sea Victoria’s secret will feature on board, along with Kate Spade, Michael Kors,  LeVien and Brietling. Just like a little shopping mall at sea, now I always like to treat myself to a new handbag or some perfume, a watch maybe. So this for me is just perfect. I am not really a shopper, I do not like wondering aimlessly, I like to peruse a shop or 2 and thats me done. So a little mini mall will be great. These will combine with the normal onboard shops for this class of ship including cherry on top, [ the best sweet shop ever ] and the logo branded shop too along with a duty free shop.

But this is not the only addition, another new great feature will be Guys Pig and Anchor Smoke house brewery which will replace the Red Frog Pub on deck 5, right next to the Havana cabanas!!

This Bar-b-que joint will serve bbq favourites like chicken wings, ribs, pork, mac n cheese, bourbon gravy,  sounds delicious, this dining venue will come at a supplement during the evening, but will be free for lunch, as are most of Carnivals select restaurants onboard including JiJi Asian and Cucina del Capitano italian, then theres Guys burgers,  Blue Iguana Mexican Cantina, the Pizzeria and of course the buffet and main dining room!! Thats 8 different places to eat lunch without including room service.

Then comes the entertainment, as always theres the open air dive in movies with popcorn out on deck. The new Lyp Sync battle,  and the I max movie theatre, oh and a casino, the theatre, a comedy club, the Havana bar, the piano bar and nightclub.

You may see why I love Carnival now, so many different choices and options.
