Alexa? What cruise line will you feature on?

MSC cruises is marching ahead in terms of new ships that are set to launch in the next 10 years.

By 2024 they will have at least another 6 ships added to the fleet, and with so many ships coming out there has to be new features of course, a first at sea, a unique benefit.

Well here it is, MSC is set to install Amazon Alexa style virtual assistants in every cabin on the newly built Bellissima for March 2019.

Now the mind boggles how this will work, but I can only imagine and I am sure everyone is going to love this feature as it has to be like your own little personal butler.

Alexa – order me room service breakfast in bed

Alexa – order me a chardonnay from room service

Alexa – order me a club sandwich from room service

Alexa – book a table in the dining room

Alexa – whats the best excursion in Naples

Ok, so you will see I am hampering in on the room service section here which is what I hope will be a feature, and presently I have no idea what it/she will be able to do. You can also set the language preference just incase you want Alexa to speak in Italian!! There will be 7 different languages.

What I do know is that I love my new Alexa at home we got at xmas. Such a fun tool-

Time the perfect egg

Give me a music quiz

Play Radio 2 – yes I am that age!!

I just absolutely love it and think that this should be standard on all cruise lines now lol.

Here are the new ships set to launch in the next few years from MSC:

MSC Seaview May 2018

MSC Bellissima March 2019

MSC Grandiosa October 2019

MSC Meraviglia Plus 2 September 2020

MSC Cruises world class 2022 & 2024

So is this going to entice you to book MSC? I can say the new ships looks amazing 🙂
