Hidden gems lay between Venice and Verona

This time my visit to Italy is in the north and i will be staying in a valley an hour away from Venice. I have been to this area before and visited Venice many times. It never loses its charm, the hundreds of bridges over the canals, narrow streets and the beautiful architecture make it charming and unique. The atmosphere is also different than any other Italian city, it’s very laid back and relaxing. Probably also given from the fact that there is not a single motorized vehicle around a part from water taxis or the vaporetto and no one seems to be rushing anywhere. Even lovelier to see local people chatting to each other around the streets like they have all the time in the world. The evening highlights are the al fresco meals with candle light dinner and having a few drinks near the Rialto Bridge enjoying the views right from your seat. There isn’t a best time to visit Venice really as it changes with the weather. It’s always busy but my favourite time is probably June and September. This way you can avoid they summer heat which can be suffocating in summer months depending on the direction of winds

Between Venice and Verona there is the Trentino’s Valley, between the tall mountains lay lovely little villages. Nearby also is Lake Garda and other lakes and rivers less famous but by far the most beautiful, where waters can be as green as an emerald or as blue as a turquoise.  Most are higher up in the mountains, these places are ideal to visit on a hot summer day when you’re looking to cool down. Here you can swim, have a walk and enjoy nature at its best. A visit to these lakes is a must if you like walking or trekking and want to enjoy the best this destination has to offer and spend a lovely day or two close to nature. The lake of Caldonazzo offers several beaches and you can do a full walk around the lake in 2 hours, there is a good path here and the views are second to none. The river Lumar is the clearest and the bluest which offers snorkelling, this lake is rich of fish, you can even see the fish from the shore. The lake Tenno is the most family friendly one and the smallest, you can walk around it in half an hour.

I shall be back in a couple of weeks, having seen most of this places i may not go back there and i will try and come back with something new.
